Iron in well or irrigation water. When iron-rich water sprays onto concrete, pavers, fencing, stucco or curbs and dries, the iron reacts with oxygen and leaves orange or brown staining behind.
Pressure washing removes dirt, growth and loose debris. Irrigation rust is a mineral stain bonded to the surface, so pressure alone usually leaves the orange behind. Removing it takes a treatment that breaks down the iron. More on why pressure washing falls short.
